     'ABOUT OUR CLUB'

Star City Figure Skating Club (SCFSC) is a nonprofit volunteer organization.  The Club is a member club in the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA), the governing body of amateur figure skating in the United States.  Our club has about 150 members and is one of approximately 600 clubs nationwide.  The Club skates from September to May at The Ice Box Arena at State Fair Park in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The goals of the Club are to encourage the instruction, practice and advancement of its members in all types of skating, and to promote a spirit of fun and friendship among its members.  We are a family skating club that has activities for all skill levels and ages.  Our programs provide an incentive to learn and progress in the sport.  Our members enjoy skating for recreation, or with the goal of becoming a serious competitor.  Our members compete in events such as the Cornhusker State Games, the Omaha Winterfest, Spring Fling and other regional competitions.

All club members are also members of the US Figure Skating Association.  The membership year begins July 1st and ends June 30th.  When you join Star City FSC your membership fee includes USFSA membership plus a subscription to Skating magazine.
