AXEL CLUB

SCFSC offers multiple opportunities a year for skaters to have an axel jump formally approved for inclusion in the SCFSC Axel Club and USFS Axel Club. Upon admission to the SCFSC Axel Club, these skaters receive a certificate and pin, and their names are included in the display case at Breslow Hockey Center, the SCFSC home rink. SCFSC members with approved axels can then submit a request to USFS for inclusion in USFS Axel Club directory and receive recognition. Inductees with verified submissions may receive the following from USFS: an official USFS Axel Club membership certificate, a recognition gift, a listing on the Axel Club Hall of Fame page on Learn to Skate USA and USFS websites, and the opportunity to be featured in Axel Club marketing materials.

GOLD MEDAL STATUS

When a skater passes a final test in a USFS testing category, they earn the honor of becoming a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist.

GET UP CHAMPION

Get Up Champions is a peer-to-peer recognition program. All USFS members may nominate themselves or a fellow skater/club member for a Get Up Champion award. The Get Up campaign strives to recognize the grit, passion, and perseverance needed to Get Up in the rink and in life.

ABOVE & BEYOND AWARD

The SCFSC board nominates and votes for this award, which is not necessarily an annual award.

This award is given to an individual or organization that has made a significant contribution to the Club’s success.
